22th July, 2024, KNU-HQ
The "Leadership, Governance, and Public Administration" training program in Kawthoolei has successfully concluded after an intensive and transformative month-long session. This program, which ran for four weeks, aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to enhance leadership and governance at the local level, with a focus on the administration of public sectors.
A total of 30 participants from Tawoo, Klerlweehtu, and Mutraw districts comprised the third batch of trainees. They engaged in interactive sessions focused on developing effective leadership skills, emphasizing strategic thinking, decision-making, and ethical leadership. These sessions prepared participants to take on leadership roles within their communities.
Training sessions highlighted sustainable environmental management practices, focusing on the protection and preservation of local natural resources. Participants also learned about strategies to stimulate local economic development, including community-driven initiatives and partnerships with the private sector.
Participants left the training with a renewed sense of purpose and a robust set of skills to implement effective governance practices in their respective localities. The training fostered a network of capable leaders committed to driving positive change and sustainable development in Kawthoolei.
The successful completion of this training program marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and public administration in Kawthoolei. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the School of Governance and Public Administration (SGPA) for their professional and technical contributions, which made this program a resounding success.
